Some years ago, the Bavarian games industry was dead. Getting a job at a game developer was close to impossible and Munich was famous for a lot of television and movie businesses (and one German game publisher), but there was no real culture of game „makers“. This changed tremondously in the last years when a lot of indie game developers and the game funding by the FilmFernsehFonds were founded. I like it. It feels fresh, vital and very vibrant – completely different from how it felt before.
At the moment, some Bavarian developers are showcasing at the Cartoon Movie fair in Lyon. Here is a trailer that is presented at the show. Not only it gives a great overview of what is produced here at the moment, it also includes the first moving scenes from our adventure game „Generation Zero“ to the general public! Note that the trailer is not produced by my employer. We just delivered the sequences for our part in there.
And to all you Ragnar-Tornquist-Fans out there – ever expected to see Dreamfall in a Bavarian developers‘ trailer? Yep, it started here! 😉
Ihr macht ein Kitesurfing-Spiel? Cool!
wir nehmen alles 😉
zahlt ihr auch? 😉
