Google Feedburner spams my blog to someone else’s twitter account

Now that’s crazy.

It seems feedburner has a hickup and started to crosspost my blog to pretty much all Twitter accounts I once was associated with including game companies and even to the Twitter account of the „Deutscher Entwicklerpreis“… 😮

To be clear: It’s not me who did this. I also don’t have the credentials to your twitter accounts. I also can’t delete these posts.

And no: I did not „beschlagnahm“ your computer!

And yes: This is not setup in my publicize settings of feedburner either.

It seems the feedburner service had a hickup and used old credentials from years ago once associated with my Google account to post my blog RSS feed that is manged by feedburner to the Twitter API. Funny is, even my old Twitter accounts not having worked with feedburner for years suddendly seem to accept posts from feedburner. Some credentials must be over 10 years old!

To avoid your account of being hijacked by my posts in the future via Google, the best way is to revoke Google from your trusted apps within Twitter. This should be visible in this link. If you need Google for Twitter, you should be able to get new credential authentification by just logging in via OAuth again. I hope this revokes all old credentials you still might have on your Twitter from me. I try to not post blogposts for a little longer.
